Services We Provide

1. Confirm with RIV (Registrar of Imported Vehicles) that your vehicle is admissible into Canada.
2. Confirm with manufacturer regarding warranty eligibility of your vehicle once it is imported into Canada.
3. Provide you with a detailed import quote using that day’s exchange rate.
4. Contact the dealership that sold you the car to ensure all of the proper documents are present.
5. Provide assistance to the customer in acquiring the necessary recall letter for your vehicle.
5. Hand deliver your documents to US Customs for the required 72 holding period.
6. Provide safe insured transport of your vehicle to Canada.
7. Clear your vehicle through US Customs.
8. Present your vehicle to Canada Customs for inspection.
9. Fill out all necessary paperwork in order to complete your Form 1.
10. Remit all applicable taxes, duties, and fees to Canada Customs.
11. Complete any required modifications (please note modifications charges will be applied to your quote).
12. Convert speedometer into km/h if so desired by the customer (cost for speedometer replacement is extra, varies depending on vehicle).
13. Apply to the RIV on your behalf for your Form 2.
14. Have your Form 2 inspection completed, to complete RIV process.
15. Complete an Ontario Safety Inspection and E-Test if required.
16. Turn all paperwork in to the Licensing Bureau.
17. Obtain new license plates, stickers and Ontario ownership for your vehicle.
18. Wash your vehicle inside and out prior to you picking it up from our offices.
19. Provide you with originals of all import paperwork that we have collected on your behalf.
20. Provide any follow up answers or advice regarding the import process, paperwork etc…

is the basic charge for handling the import process (for vehicles valued up to $79,999), feel free to price our service against others out there, you will find that our pricing is very competitive and the services we provide are not provided by other companies.

Fixed Costs

  • Air tax $100
  • Brokerage fee $137
  • Safety (unless vehicle does not pass) $75
  • Etest (unless vehicle does not pass) $40
  • Our fee $850 (for vehicles valued up to $79,999)
  • RIV form 2 fee $195

Variable Costs

  • Transportation (the farther the vehicle is from the border the more expensive it will be to transport).
  • HST (based on the CDN value of the vehicle, this is effected by the purchase price and then the rate of exchange at the time of conversion).
  • Modifications (vehicle MUST have daytime running lights in order to pass the form 2 inspection, otherwise we will have to install them at extra cost to the customer).
  • Recall letter (most are free although there are manufacturers that will charge a fee for them).
  • Duty (any vehicle made outside of North America is subject to duty at 6.1% of the CDN value of the vehicle).
  • Licensing (based on whether you need new plates and when your birthday is, the most this will cost is $94 for a full year sticker and plate).
  • Green levy tax (any vehicles produced after March 2007 may be subjected to this tax which is based on fuel consumption)
